Beginner's Guide
New to RELL Seas? This guide covers everything from character creation to your first boss fight.

Choose Your Race
- At character creation you pick a race. Each race has unique passive bonuses and synergises with different fighting styles.
- Human is a safe all-rounder. Mink gets a speed bonus. Fishman excels underwater. Cyborg has high durability.
- Your race is permanent - pick based on your planned playstyle (speed, combat, swimming).

Find a God Fruit
- God Fruits (Devil Fruits) give you powerful abilities but cost you the ability to swim - sea water drains your HP.
- Fruits are found in treasure chests hidden across islands. You'll need a Shovel to dig them up.
- Logia fruits make you immune to most physical attacks. Zoan fruits give you a beast transformation. Paramecia fruits grant special powers.
- You can only eat one fruit. Choose wisely - there is no undo.

Train Haki
- Haki is the great equaliser - it lets you damage Logia users who would otherwise be immune to your attacks.
- Find NPC trainers scattered across islands. Each NPC teaches a specific Haki type and requires a Haki Card to unlock.
- Armament Haki (black hardening) - essential for PvP and boss fights.
- Observation Haki - see attacks coming, dodge more effectively.
- Conqueror's Haki - rarest type, only the strongest players can learn it.

Get a Weapon
- Weapons come in four classes: Light, Medium, Heavy, and Ranged - each affects attack speed and damage.
- Your chosen weapon class during character creation gives bonus Weapon EXP for that class.
- Weapons drop from bosses or can be crafted via the Blacksmith system.
- Upgrade your weapons at Blacksmith NPCs using crafting materials. Higher tiers unlock more powerful moves.

Level Up Through Activities
- RELL Seas uses a Grade system instead of simple XP. Your grade reflects total character development.
- Combat levels you up fast, but activities like Fishing, Mining, Crafting, and Cooking also contribute.
- Complete Dexes - the Adventure Dex, Fishing Dex, Craftsman Dex, and Recipe Dex track your exploration progress.
- Higher grade unlocks new islands, bosses, and abilities.

Set Sail
- Get a ship as early as possible - it's your home, your storage, and your main travel method.
- Ships can be fully customised: hull parts, cannons, sails, and more via the Ship Customisation system.
- Stronger ocean zones require a tougher ship. Submarines let you explore the deep sea.
- Crew battles and sea events happen on the open water - a good ship is not optional.

Join a Faction
- Choose between the main factions: Marines, Pirates, and the Revolutionary Army.
- Your faction affects your reputation, available quests, and how NPCs react to you.
- Attacking civilians and opposing faction players builds Bounty - which makes you a target.
- Faction-specific land events and crew battles offer unique rewards.
