Blacksmithing
Overview
Blacksmithing is a core progression system in RELL Seas that allows players to upgrade their weapons up to 20 times and add powerful enchantments. Each upgrade step requires specific materials gathered from exploration - and the materials rotate randomly, incentivizing players to hunt different wildlife and mine various resources.
How to Access: Find the Blacksmith NPC on any major island. Look for the blacksmith's forge - the glowing furnace marks the location.
⚔️Weapon Upgrades
Any weapon can be upgraded at the Blacksmith up to 20 times. Each upgrade increases the weapon's base stats. Crucially, each upgrade step demands different materials - the requirements are not fixed and change randomly, meaning you may need Snake Tooth for one upgrade, Sea Stone for the next, and Bear Claw after that.
Known Materials Required
- ▸Materials are randomized per upgrade step - no two upgrade paths are the same.
- ▸You must explore the open world to gather different materials for each step.
- ▸Upgrading clothing is also available at the Blacksmith.
👕Clothing Upgrades
In addition to weapons, the Blacksmith can upgrade your clothing, improving defensive stats and potentially unlocking new visual appearances.
- 💡Specific clothing upgrade materials are not yet confirmed on the official wiki.
✨Weapon Enchantments
After upgrading a weapon, you can apply one of five enchantments at the Blacksmith. Each enchantment adds a unique elemental effect - choose wisely based on your playstyle. The Sea Stone Enchantment is the only one that directly counters God Fruit users in PvP.
Fire Enchantment
Imbues your weapon with fire energy. Attacks deal additional fire damage and apply a burning effect.
Ice Enchantment
Imbues your weapon with ice energy. Attacks slow enemies and may freeze targets on repeated hits.
Poison Enchantment
Coats your weapon in lethal poison. Attacks apply a poison DoT that drains enemy health over time.
Lightning Enchantment
Charges your weapon with lightning. Attacks deal bonus electrical damage and may stun targets.
Sea Stone Enchantment
The rarest and most coveted enchantment. Sea Stone suppresses Devil Fruit powers on hit, making it the premier anti-God Fruit tool in PvP. Inspired by One Piece lore where Seastone weakens Devil Fruit users.
Notes
- ▸The Blacksmith was confirmed in Movie 1 of the RELL Seas developer showcase series.
