Blueprints
Overview
Blueprints are craftable recipe items that unlock the ability to craft specific items, equipment, ship parts, and more. You do not automatically know how to craft things in RELL Seas - you must find Blueprints through exploration, defeating bosses, opening chests, and killing Sea Kings. The Blueprint system is designed around adventure and discovery.
In most games, you start with all your crafting recipes. In RELL Seas, you start with nothing. Every recipe must be discovered. Blueprints are the physical representation of that knowledge - find one, learn it, and you unlock the ability to craft that specific item. This philosophy makes exploration genuinely rewarding: that hidden chest in an unexplored cave might contain a blueprint no one else on your server has.

🔍How to Find Blueprints
Explore every corner of every island. Blueprints can be found in hidden locations, inside buildings, and in secret areas. Every map has detailed interiors specifically to reward exploration.
Open locked chests using the Thiefing talent and Lock Pick item. Different difficulty chests (Easy, Medium, Hard) yield different blueprint tiers. Hard chests have the best blueprint drops.
Sea Kings - giant sea creatures - drop both rare materials and blueprints upon defeat. These are among the best blueprint sources.
Defeating bosses can reward blueprints, especially ship part blueprints themed around that boss. Example: defeat Allard to get the Allard Wings ship figurehead blueprint.
Regular chests found across the world contain materials and blueprints. They do not require lockpicking but yield lower-tier blueprints.
